Public Private Partnership (PPP)
A public-private partnership (PPP, private financial initiative - PFI) is a special form for investment projects in infrastructure (mainly structured as concession or PPP/PFI agreements) providing cooperation of public and private partners based on consolidation of investments and allocation of risks aimed to resolve public and socially important objectives, carried out by means of investment projects related to the objects of public interest and public control (such as social and other kinds of public infrastructure).
PPP is considerably important since its application permits saving significant budgetary funds due to more efficient use of them and attracting private investments, introducing those innovations, decreasing cost of public services for consumers and diverting public authorities from being directly involved in production, permitting it to focus on organisational and controlling functions.
